NTTU – On the purpose of providing and raising the awareness of sex education and propaganda on the dangers of HIV for students, on the morning of May 11st, 2019, the Student Association and Union of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health organized the Seminar on “Reproductive Health – Practices for young people” in 2019
Attending the seminar, on the side of guests, there are Mrs. Dang Thi Truc Mai – Reporter of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Population; Ms. Le Thi Kim Huong – Deputy Head of District 4’s Health Department; Mr. Le Quoc Thang – Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Ward 13, District 4; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ha Nam – Secretary of the Union of Ward 13, District 4; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Tram – Vice Chairman of Women’s Union of Ward 14, District 4. On the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there are Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, Secretary of the Union School, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union – Student Association, and especially the presence of more than 250 students studying at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
The seminar is attracted to the participation of many students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University
Attending the seminar, the students are shared by reporters from the HCMC Department of Health on sex education and HIV prevention, gradually changed profoundly and strongly in their awareness and action. The seminar also provides students with useful and practical knowledge creating opportunities for students to exchange directly with the doctors, proactively equip themselves with knowledge on: reproductive health of adolescents (Genital infection, menstrual cycle, breast cancer …); effects of birth control pills; unintended pregnancy problems; the consequences of abortion….
The students also participated in interesting games and asked speakers around the topic of the workshop and received gifts from the seminar. Students raised many questions and concerns around the seminar’s topic
