March is the month when you can see youth in blue shirts volunteering for the community. In this spirit, the young people of Nguyen Tat Thanh University organized several meaningful activities in order to improve the environment and make it greener-cleaner-more beautiful.
For example, in the morning of March 25, 2019, our students organized a litter collection along the beach. With the slogan “No plastic bags, clean beach”, they showed up very early, and were pro-active in taking up tasks and quickly cleaned up a beach area. In the scorching heat as summer is fast-approaching, their bright smiles pass on a passionate fire to other youths.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao – Secretary of the University Youth Union said: Our goal is to improve the environment and reduce pollution, as well as to change students’ awareness in protecting the environment, on March 26, the University Youth Union took the initiative to organize this activity “No plastic bags, clean beach” so that students can express their enthusiasm through practical actions.
“Small actions, great meaning”. Besides increasing students’ awareness, the University Youth Union also hopes to inspire a movement to collect litter through this activity. Students can take the initiative to find and make contacts with sites that they can clean and remove litter through team-work.
The University Youth Union is very please that students participate enthusiastically in community activities such as this one and hopes that they continue to join in future activities.
