Final round and award ceremony of 2018 – 2019 “Chap canh uoc mo” contest
NTTU – At 13:30, on 3/3/2019, at Nguyen Tat Thanh University main campus, 300A Nguyen Tat Thanh, District 4, the Final round and award ceremony of 2018 – 2019 Chap canh uoc mo contest took place.
On the behalf of HCMC Department of Education and Training, Ms. Bui Thi Diem Thu, Vice Director and Mr. Tran Nguyen Thuc, Head of Politics and Thought attended. For Nguyen Tat Thanh University, there are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, President and Dr. Hoang Huu Dung, Vice President and especially 20 contestants in the final round.
The Board of Juries includes Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Vice Director of Center of Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labor Market Information HCMC; Truong Quang Tri, MBA, Vice Dean of Tourism and Vietnamese Studies – Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Dr. Dao Le Hoa An – Member of Central Board of Politics, Vietnam Association of Social Psychology; Film Director Tran Minh Ngan – Silver Kite award of 2018 Film Festival; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dao Minh Huy – Department of Criminal Police, HCMC Police; Journalist Hoang Huong, Tuoi Tre News.

During 2 months with excitement and thrilling, 4 teams of Nguyen Huu Canh Highschool, Tan Tuc Highschool, Ngo Quyen Highschool, Nguyen Huu Cau Highschool excellently went into the Final round of 2018 – 2019 Chap canh uoc mo contest. In this round, the teams will express their career dreams which are Police Officer, Tourism Business, Psychologist, and Television Editor through Journey of career experience and Making situations test. In the first test, 4 teams will be oriented by coaches who are juries and will participate in practical career experience to make a clip of chosen career. Clip duration is 3 minutes; in the second round the organizing board will give a situation for each team to send one representative to role-play as main character to resolve the situations at stage. Board of juries will interact with participants at stage.

With the best performance and the professional resolution for the situation given by Board of juries, the participants from Nguyen Huu Canh Highschool were award the First prize for the career dream: Police officer, Ngo Quyen Highschool got the Second prize, 2 Third prizes for Tan Tuc Highschool and Nguyen Huu Cau Highschool.

Besides the cash prize given by Organizing Board, Nguyen Tat Thanh University awarded for the participating teams in the Final Round with high value prizes. The First Prize was 25 million VND gift; Second Prize 10 million VND gift; 2 Third Prizes 5 million VND for each team; 7 Consolation prizes were 3 million VND/each. Otherwise, Nguyen Tat Thanh University awarded a scholarship with 100% tuition fee for first year study at NTTU for members of the First – Second – Third Prize teams and 50% tuition fee for first year study for members of the Consolation prize teams. The University was also giving awards like: 01 Chap canh uoc mo prize which is a total scholarship for studying NTTU; 10 prizes for dynamic organizations: 10% tuition fee for first year study for all these school students; 01 prize for supporting fan: 10% tuition fee for first year study for all the school students.
Representative of the First Prize team, Dang Tran Gia Han told that: “Our team is very surprised when being awarded First Prize, this is an award for our 5 members’ effort. Choosing Police Officer to express as the career dream, we met some difficulties for little knowledge in this field. However, with our determination we overcame difficulties and won the final round”.

Chap canh uoc mo contest which is one of the meaning activities for highschool students before entering university, is co-organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University and HCMC Department of Education and Training. The contest is continuously organized from 2014 – 2020 according to the plan between HCMC Department of Education and Training and Nguyen Tat Thanh University. This contest is to orient career for students and create opportunities for them to promote creative spirit, think and have career orientation when still in high school. Especially, the contest helps students to have practical experience from identifying career dream to experience the chosen careers.
