
NTTU – In order to evaluate the implementation of the Party’s and the State’s policies on digital transformation and the development of high-quality human resources in digital technology and artificial intelligence, on October 16, 2025, Nguyen Tat Thanh University welcomed a working delegation from the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization for an official visit and field survey on the University’s training activities in digital technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. This visit forms part of a nationwide survey program conducted at higher education institutions, implemented in accordance with Plan No. 49-KH/BTGDVTW dated May 5, 2025, and the Coordinated Plan No. 14-KH/BTGDVTW–Ministry of Education and Training dated July 14, 2025.
Attending the program, on behalf of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department were Comrade Le Huy Nam – Director of the Education Department – Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department – Head of the delegation; Comrade Le Huy Hoang – Deputy Director of the Education Department – Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department – Deputy Head of the delegation; Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy – Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training; Comrade Duong Minh Tuan – Deputy Director of Local Affairs Department 3 – Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Comrade Phan Manh Tuong – Senior Specialist in the Education Department – Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Comrade Tran Thi Thanh Huong – Senior Specialist in the Education Department – Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
Representing Nguyen Tat Thanh University were Dr. Nguyen Van Luong – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Phuong – Member of the Board of Directors – Vice Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice Rector; Dr. Hoang Huu Dung – Vice Rector, along with heads and deputy heads of functional departments, heads and deputy heads of faculties, and other faculty members working at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Mr. Le Huy Nam – Director of the Education Department – Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee – Head of the delegation, noted that Nguyen Tat Thanh University is an educational institution that is very committed to implementing digital transformation in education. The delegation visited several departments, faculties, and the library and observed that the university has invested heavily in modern digital technology systems, contributing to inspiring students in their studies and research. Mr. Le Huy Nam also stated that the purpose of the survey was to hear the university share its best practices and efforts in implementing digital transformation, as well as the difficulties and obstacles encountered in this process, from representatives of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

In her report on training in digital technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Hong emphasized that the university remains steadfast in its mission to become an innovative, multidisciplinary, and highly integrated university, training human resources that meet domestic and international needs, responding to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and achieving regional and international standards. Training activities not only aim to equip students with foundational knowledge but also encourage the development of creative skills, critical thinking, and the ability to apply technology to practice.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Hong, to fulfill this mission, the university has expanded its scale and diversified its training programs, anticipating technological development trends. Programs such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and AI, Data Science, and Information Technology, with modern specializations like Logistics & IoT, Digital Machine Manufacturing Technology, and Automation, have been introduced. The training programs are designed to be advanced, closely linked to the practical needs of businesses and the labor market, while ensuring students gain hands-on experience with modern equipment under the guidance of experienced lecturers. This helps graduates become technology experts capable of participating in and leading the country’s digital transformation process.

Following the presentation by Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Hong, the program continued with an exchange and discussion between the delegation and the leaders, staff, and lecturers of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Overall, the members of the survey team highly appreciated the results and achievements that the University has attained in digital transformation, especially the application of technology in management, teaching, and scientific research.
Comrade Le Huy Hoang – Deputy Director of the Education Department, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee – highly appreciated the outstanding efforts and results of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the past period, while also acknowledging the difficulties and obstacles that the University is facing in the process of implementing digital transformation and educational innovation programs.
Members of the delegation and representatives from the University engaged in in-depth discussions on the ideological data governance model guided by General Secretary To Lam, particularly focusing on the current stage of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in this process and its future implementation roadmap. Additionally, the discussion centered on the University’s participation in national projects, policies for attracting and developing human resources and talent, and the effectiveness of the National Innovation Center (NIIC).
In addition, the delegation also proposed several solutions to ensure fairness between public and private higher education institutions, especially in accessing human resources, finance, and land, contributing to creating an equal and sustainable development environment in the national education system.

Responding to the feedback from the delegation, the leadership representatives of Nguyen Tat Thanh University expressed their gratitude for the attention and recognition from the delegation, while clarifying some strategic directions and steps for the University in the coming period. The University leadership representatives affirmed that the delegation’s suggestions are a valuable resource for the University to review, adjust, and refine its digital transformation model, especially in the areas of data management, digitization of learning materials, capacity building for staff, and connecting with businesses in practical training.
In addition, the University also stated that it will strengthen cooperation with agencies, research institutes, and technology businesses to promote the application of artificial intelligence and big data analytics in university management. The University’s leadership emphasized that its goal is to build a comprehensive digital education ecosystem, contributing to the national digital transformation goals in the field of education and training.
In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Comrade Le Huy Nam acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in digital transformation. According to him, these results stem not only from the attention and correct direction of the university’s leadership but also reflect the modern management thinking and strategic vision of the entire system in deploying and applying digital technology.
The school has invested in a comprehensive infrastructure and information technology system, creating a solid foundation for a complete digital transformation process. At the same time, the school has proactively expanded training in majors and specializations related to digital transformation, organizing many practical activities with high applicability to meet the growing needs of the labor market in the digital age.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University focuses on innovation and updating equipment and facilities to meet the rapid changes in digital technology.
The survey team noted the University’s recommendations regarding support mechanisms and policies aimed at creating more favorable conditions for non-public higher education institutions in their development process. Mr. Le Huy Nam expressed his confidence that Nguyen Tat Thanh University will continue to leverage its strengths, becoming a leading training and research center for digital transformation in the region, with international prestige and the capacity to supply high-quality human resources that can adapt flexibly to the strong transformation of the global digital economy.
Nguyen Tat Thanh University implemented its digital transformation program quite early and made it a key objective in its Development Strategy for the period 2014-2020, implementing it with the following basic steps: Identifying technological trends and competitive advantages; Analyzing the educational context and determining the necessity of digital transformation; Developing a vision and objectives for the digital strategy; Designing a model and competency framework for digital transformation; Determining the roadmap/objectives for digital transformation…
By 2017, the School began focusing on training and raising awareness among faculty, staff, and employees about the role and importance of digital transformation; digitizing learning materials and lectures… to operate the E-Learning system. In 2021, the School implemented its Development Strategy for the period 2020-2025, with a vision to 2035, which continues to promote the goal of “Digital Transformation” in management (digital administrative system), teaching, learning, testing, evaluation, scientific research…
With that orientation, the school has built a comprehensive digital infrastructure, applying online learning systems, digital libraries, and artificial intelligence in management and teaching. In particular, the school focuses on creating an open academic environment where faculty and students are encouraged to explore and master new technologies. Training sessions and workshops on artificial intelligence (AI) organized by the school not only aim to equip skills but also help foster innovative thinking, opening up opportunities for creativity in research, entrepreneurship, and international integration.
