Lecturers from the Faculty of Business Administration, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, participated in the 2025 E-commerce & Digital Economy Lecturer Training Program

On October 10, 2025 , representatives from the Faculty of Business Administration, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, participated in the E-commerce & Digital Economy Lecturer Training Program organized by the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM), held at Hall B, Gia Dinh University, Ho Chi Minh City.

About the program

The training program, organized by VECOM in collaboration with Gia Dinh University, attracted a large number of lecturers from universities nationwide. The event featured many speakers who are leading experts in the fields of e-commerce and digital economy.

In her keynote address at the program, Dr. Le Hoang Oanh, Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade, emphasized the importance of training high-quality human resources for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s e-commerce industry.

Program content

The program is divided into four main sessions covering several important topics:

Session 1: National E-commerce Development Master Plan for the period 2026-2030

Ms. Tran Bich Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Policy Department, E-commerce and Digital Economy Bureau, presented the National E-commerce Development Master Plan for the period 2026-2030, which sets out major goals and many activities to develop sustainable e-commerce, including solutions related to human resources, cross-border e-commerce, and green e-commerce.

The discussion session was moderated by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung – Advisory Council member , with the participation of experts:

  • Bui Van Thoi– Deputy Head of the Business Administration Faculty, Nguyen Tat Thanh University
  • Doan Minh Chau– International Institute, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City
  • Truong Nhat Duong– Director of BU Ecommerce ACCESSTRADE
  • Tran Thi Tan– Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, TikTok Shop
  • Pham Tan Dat– General Director of Fado Group
  • Tran Bich Ngoc– Deputy Head of Policy Department, E-commerce and Digital Economy Bureau

Experts engaged in in-depth discussions on the development of e-commerce in Vietnam and globally, business trends and digital business technologies, the feasibility of human resource training goals, and the need to disseminate the Plan to universities and students.

Session 2: E-commerce Law

Dr. Le Hoang Oanh continued her presentation on the draft Law on E-commerce, outlining the challenges in e-commerce development from 2016 to 2025, including imbalances between localities, negative impacts on the environment, and the need to protect consumer rights.

Topics for discussion include:

  • Actions that harm consumers and businesses.
  • The role of e-commerce law in sustainable development.
  • Content related to green and cross-border e-commerce.
  • The current state of e-commerce law training at universities.

Session 3: Laws related to e-commerce

Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang – Bross & Partners analyzed the legal environment of e-commerce, an interdisciplinary field closely related to information technology, digital marketing, digital payments, logistics, and other related areas.

The discussion session, moderated by Nguyen Thanh Hung – Senior Advisory Council on E-commerce, and led by Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang , focused on:

  • The importance of legal training related to e-commerce in the period 2026-2030
  • What areas/legal documents should the Law course cover?
  • The relationship between the draft Law on E-commerce and the draft Law on Digital Transformation
  • Challenges faced by universities when teaching the e-commerce law course.

Session 4: Collaborative training in e-commerce at universities

Mr. Tran Van Trong, General Secretary of VECOM, introduced the Network of E-commerce Training Institutions (VecomNet), which includes 50 universities, among them Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

The discussion session was moderated by Mr. Pham Son Tung – Vice President and Director of Investment at CF Holdings , with the participation of the following speakers:

  • Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Khoa– Deputy Head of the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry
  • Nguyen Phuc Khoa– Head of E-commerce Department, HUTECH University
  • Truong Phi Cuong– Director of the E-commerce Program, Gia Dinh University
  • Tran Cao Tri– Enterprise Solution Director, Haravan
  • Tran Van Trong– General Secretary of VECOM

The collaborative activities discussed included:

  • Linking e-commerce student clubs
  • Scientific conference

The significance of the program

The training program not only provides up-to-date knowledge on policies, laws, and development trends in e-commerce, but also creates opportunities for lecturers from universities to network, share experiences, and build collaborative training networks.

With the active participation of Dr. Bui Van Thoi and representatives from the Faculty of Business Administration, Nguyen Tat Thanh University affirms its pioneering role in innovating training programs, aiming to provide high-quality human resources to meet the development needs of Vietnam’s e-commerce industry in the period 2026-2030.
