“Innovate with Gen AI” – Where human intelligence meets the power of technology.
In an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is present in every aspect of life, creativity is no longer the exclusive privilege of humans, but rather a combination of thinking and technology. Understanding this, the Business English Club – Faculty of Business Administration, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, officially launches the “Innovate with Gen AI ” competition, an academic playground for all NTTU students who love to explore, learn, and innovate.
The competition is not simply an academic challenge, but also a journey for students to demonstrate critical thinking, English proficiency, and, most importantly, the ability to apply AI to practical situations. It’s an opportunity for each student to ask themselves: “If I had AI in my hands, what would I do to change the world around me?”
The journey to find the “Gen AI creator”
AI is not just a tool, but also a new companion on humanity’s creative journey. Through the “Innovate with Gen AI ” competition, NTTU students are encouraged to see the problems around them – in their studies, in their lives, in their communities – and find ways to solve them using the power of generative technology.
You might be thinking about a personalized learning platform for students, a tool to help the visually impaired access knowledge more easily, or an environmental protection project that applies artificial intelligence. Whatever the idea, the important thing is to dare to think differently, dare to act, and dare to let AI work with you to create new values.
Objectives and significance
The “Innovate with Gen AI ” competition was created with the desire to promote a spirit of creative learning and help NTTU students develop their ability to apply knowledge to real-life situations. This is an opportunity for students not only to learn how to use AI, but also to learn how to think with AI, turning it into a tool to support research, communication, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
Through this platform, the Faculty of Business Administration aims to foster a community of students who love innovation and know how to seize opportunities from technology to serve their studies and careers. The competition also serves as a stepping stone to find representatives for NTTU to participate in the Gen AI innovation competition on an international scale.
Participation format and event schedule
The competition is open to all students currently studying at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Participants can join in teams of one to five members. Each team will write an essay in English, presenting a real-world problem and proposing a solution using generative artificial intelligence to address it.
Entries should clearly state the idea, solution, method of applying AI, and the benefits the solution will bring. The deadline for submission is November 5, 2025, via email to vcvinh@ntt.edu.vn, with the subject line “Participation in the Gen AI Innovation Competition”. After the selection round, the best teams will advance to the Final Round – where they will have the opportunity to present their ideas to a judging panel consisting of lecturers, experts, and entrepreneurs.
The Final Round is scheduled to take place on November 19, 2025, in Meeting Room 01, Campus 331 Do Muoi Street, An Phu Dong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. This will be a showcase of intellectual prowess, where each creative idea is inspired by the young people of NTTU.
Awards and opportunities for students
Besides learning and gaining experience in a creative academic environment, outstanding teams will also have the opportunity to receive valuable prizes. The Organizing Committee will award:
01 First Prize worth 3,000,000 VND and
There are 3 prizes to be won, each worth 1,500,000 VND.
The winning teams will represent their home countries in the international competition on Gen AI innovation and application, jointly organized by CJCU University (Taiwan , Niigata Seiryo University (Japan), Airlangga University (Indonesia), and Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
In addition, participating students will receive training points and a certificate from the school, recognizing their positive and creative learning spirit in the digital age.
Most importantly, the competition provides students with the opportunity to connect with businesses, learn from lecturers and experts, and broaden their understanding of how AI is being applied in practice. It also allows them to hone their teamwork, presentation, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills – essential competencies for the new generation of students.
