JANUARY AT THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT – FACULTY OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, NTTU: EXAM SEASON ENDS, TET HOLIDAY ARRIVES, AND THE SEASON OF GROWTH BEGINS

January arrives, bringing with it a unique rhythm to the Marketing Department – Faculty of Business Administration, Nguyen Tat Thanh University. It’s the rhythm of semester exams, of the bustling final days of the year, and of the mixed feelings as students prepare to put aside their books and return home to reunite with their families.

Between final classes, part-time shifts, notebooks overflowing with notes, and marketing projects just about to meet their deadlines, marketing students at NTTU are crossing a special milestone – closing the first semester and embarking on a new journey of growth.

Marketing exam season – where pressure meets courage.

In the early days of January, the Faculty of Business Administration campus became quieter than usual, but the atmosphere heated up in each exam room for Marketing students.

Beyond just theoretical exams, many courses require students to present group projects, communication plans, and market analyses – embodying the industry’s spirit of “learning by doing.”

For first-year marketing students, this isn’t just exam season – it’s their first exam season of university life. They feel a mix of nervousness, anxiety, and excitement as they step into the university exam room for the first time, facing longer syllabuses, more critical thinking requirements, and a higher level of self-study.

“My first semester in Marketing surprised me because it wasn’t just about theory; I also had to do group assignments, presentations, and develop communication plans. The exam season was a bit stressful, but I feel I’ve matured a lot.” — Bao Chau, first-year Marketing student, class 25DMK1D

The Lunar New Year season – when homesickness becomes even more apparent for Marketing students.

After stressful exams, the conversations of marketing students begin to revolve around two familiar words: Tet (Vietnamese New Year) is coming.

Students from distant provinces begin counting down the days until they can board the bus back home, carrying with them textbooks, presentation slides, class mementos, and stories yet to be told to their families.

For many first-year marketing students, this is their first Lunar New Year after officially becoming university students. The feeling of reuniting with family at this time is not only joy, but also a small source of pride as they tell their parents about their completed courses, their first marketing projects, and their first experiences of independence in the city.

Nguyen Thi Nhi, a second-year Marketing student and class president of class 24DMK2B, and her end-of-year part-time jobs.

January is also the peak season for marketing students looking for part-time jobs. For Nguyen Thi Nhi, a second-year marketing student, currently the class president of class 24DMK2B and working part-time at company …, the end of the year is busier than ever.

From cafes and convenience stores to Tet sales campaigns, managing fanpages, supporting events, or doing part-time content creation, many students take advantage of opportunities to earn extra income to cover tuition fees, living expenses, or simply buy a small gift for their family during Tet.

Especially for Marketing students, part-time jobs are not just about earning money, but also about gaining practical experience. Through these jobs, they can hone their customer communication skills, handle situations, write sales content, and become familiar with basic media operations.

“I’m currently working part-time as a content creator for an architectural firm. Balancing classes and work each day is quite tiring, but in return, I find that the marketing knowledge I’ve learned is immediately applicable to my work, helping me understand things better and feel much more confident.”

Celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year) with community activities – the spirit of the Green Spring 2026 initiative by Marketing students.

In another beautiful aspect of January, many marketing students are not only eagerly anticipating Tet (Lunar New Year) with trips back home or gifts for family, but also choosing to celebrate Tet through meaningful community activities.

Particularly noteworthy was the Spring Green Campaign 2026 organized by the Faculty of Business Administration.
The image of Marketing students wearing yellow and green volunteer shirts, participating in wall painting, assisting with blood donation, guiding people, cleaning up the landscape, and spreading positive messages about the environment – has become one of the most beautiful aspects of January at NTTU.

For marketing students, the Green Spring program is not just a charitable activity, but also a practical lesson in social responsibility, community communication, and building brand image through humanistic values.

January 9th – NTTU Traditional Camp: Marketing Department accompanies the student community.

Besides the exam season and Tet holiday atmosphere, January 9th also marked a meaningful activity for Marketing students – the traditional NTTU camp “Accompanying Students at Other Schools”.

This year, the Faculty of Business Administration, especially the Marketing major, participated in Cluster 01 – Ho Thi Bi High School, bringing with them the enthusiasm, creativity, and social responsibility of NTTU students.

From early morning, the sight of faculty members from the Business Administration Department, including lecturers from the Marketing major, along with Marketing students wearing the department’s uniform, busily preparing booths, games, career counseling, and interactive activities with high school students, became one of the beautiful highlights of the program.

More than just a student activity, the camp is also an opportunity for Marketing students to apply their communication, event organizing, and teamwork skills in practice.
From designing banners and game scripts to interactive content and approaches to communicating with students – everything reflects a youthful, approachable, and creative “Marketing spirit.”

In particular, the dedicated support of the lecturers from the Faculty of Business Administration has provided a great source of motivation for the students. The image of lecturers not only as professional instructors in the classroom, but also directly present on the high school grounds, helping set up camps, encouraging students, interacting with students, and spreading the friendly image of the Marketing department at NTTU has left many positive impressions.

January 15-16: Graduation Ceremony for the K22 Marketing program – a beautiful moment of maturity.

Amidst the exam season and the Lunar New Year holiday, January 15th-16th became a special milestone as the K22 Marketing students officially graduated.

Dressed in their graduation gowns, the faces of those who had once diligently worked on group projects, media campaigns, and graduation theses now shone brighter than ever. There were proud smiles, emotional glances, and tight hugs for friends, teachers, and family.

The most beautiful moment is when many new graduates bow their heads to thank their supervisors – those who have been with them, providing feedback on every topic, every slide, and every draft of their thesis.

“Three years have flown by faster than I expected. From a bewildered first-year student, I am now a Bachelor of Marketing. I have matured significantly through participating in class committee activities and student union activities. These experiences help students hone their organizational skills, sense of responsibility, teamwork abilities, and personal resilience – important factors for adapting to the real-world work environment after graduation. I am very grateful to my professors and the Faculty of Business Administration for giving me a solid foundation to enter the profession.” — Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, Newly graduated Marketing student, Class of 2022

From the season of farewells to the season of new beginnings.

January at NTTU’s Marketing department therefore has a very special color scheme:

  • It’s exam season for students continuing their academic journey.
  • It is the Lunar New Year season, a time for hearts yearning for reunion.
  • It’s graduation season for K22 – the generation of marketers officially taking off.
  • It’s the season of volunteering with Spring Green 2026 – where students spread community values.
  • And it also marks the beginning of the first semester for freshmen who have just completed their first year of university.

This intersection creates an emotionally charged picture of generational flow within the Marketing department – Faculty of Business Administration, Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

We wish the new graduates of K22 all the best and much success in their careers.

And we wish all Marketing students at NTTU a new year filled with energy, creativity, and breakthroughs.
