On the morning of October 29, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration – Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) organized a field trip for over 160 students from the 2024 intake of the Business Administration major at MPE Smart Factory – a factory under Manh Phuong Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. (MPE), located in Xuyen A Industrial Park, Long An province.

The MPE Smart Factory commenced construction in June 2019 and was completed at the end of 2022. The project comprises five factory blocks and an office building with a total usable area of 100,000 m2, boasting five modern production facilities and a capacity exceeding 100 million products per year. It is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical equipment, lighting, and smart electrical devices in Vietnam. Production lines in all factories are fully automated from raw material input to finished products. The smart warehouse system is managed and operated by a fully automated WMS software, and the laboratory and measurement facilities are VILAS certified (according to ISO 17025 standards).
The delegation was led by Dr. Tran Dinh An and Dr. Nguyen Ky, representatives of the Business Administration department of the Faculty of Business Administration, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, along with the faculty’s lecturers. Representing MPE Smart Factory were Mr. Thai Thanh Hoa – Deputy Director of the factory, Mr. Tran Tri Trung – Chief Engineer, and leaders of various departments of the factory.

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Thai Thanh Hoa expressed his pleasure in collaborating with NTTU and highly appreciated the university’s practical training model. The internship helps students directly experience a modern production environment, thereby providing clear career orientation and developing motivation for learning. MPE hopes that this cooperation will contribute to giving students access to real-world experience, reducing the knowledge gap between the university and businesses, and improving the quality of high-quality human resources for society.

As part of the program, students were introduced to the history, development strategy, organizational structure, and operational system of the factory. Students were divided into small groups under the enthusiastic guidance and introduction of MPE factory management staff to tour various functional areas: raw material and supplies warehouse, production lines, quality control, new product testing laboratory, product showroom, etc.

For the first time encountering large-scale industrial production and modern technology, business administration students were extremely excited. Many diligently took notes and actively asked questions related to production management, supply chain operations, quality standards, business strategy, and human resource management within the company.
Many students shared their experiences regarding the usefulness of the factory internship, which helped them better understand the operating model of manufacturing businesses and connect their academic knowledge with real-world situations. This motivated students to strive harder in their studies and skill development.

This is a practical activity that contributes to enhancing the professional capacity and career thinking of students. The Faculty of Business Administration will continue to strengthen cooperation with more businesses to create more opportunities for practical experience for learners, thereby improving students’ professional skills and training high-quality human resources to meet the needs of society.
