NTTU – On February 1st, 2026, at the High-Tech Park campus of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the successful closing ceremony of the 2025 Mentoring activities and the kickoff of the Mentor Connect 2026 program – launching the NTTU Innovation Ecosystem – was held. This marked a significant milestone in development and opened a new, promising phase. The event brought together experts, managers, businesses, and startup support organizations from both within and outside the university, demonstrating the increasingly significant impact of the NTTU innovation ecosystem. This was not just an internal summary event, but a multi-faceted forum connecting the university, businesses, and startup support organizations, where academic knowledge was closely linked to the needs of the market and society.
In the strategy for developing the innovation and startup ecosystem at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, mentoring activities are not limited to advising on ideas, but also include project incubation, long-term support for students and startups, and activities to enhance the capacity of the mentoring team, expand the mentoring network, and strengthen ecosystem connections.
Attending the program, on the guest and partner side, the program was honored to welcome representatives from organizations, businesses, and experts in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development, including: Dr. Bui Thi Thanh Huong – Founder & CEO of VNU Greentech Spin-off (Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Mr. Hua Phu Doan – President of NTTU Business Club, Vice President of the Vietnam Waste Recycling Association; Dr. Nguyen Huu Thi – President of iSAM Holdings Management Joint Stock Company; Dr. Dang Cao Tuong – General Director of Vinathis Holding Joint Stock Company; Ms. Le Thi Be Ba – Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (SiHUB); Dr. Trieu Thanh Tuan – Director of Ca Mau Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (CiNEC); Dr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong – Director of Dong Nai Innovation Institute; Mr. Nguyen Van Nga – Member of the Executive Board of the Southern Entrepreneurship Support Advisory Council; Mr. Le Xuan Dung – Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural Center, along with representatives from startup support centers, associations, media outlets, and the press.

Mentoring 2025 – When companionship creates value
The program began with a summary report presented by Ms. Huynh Hong Mai, Deputy Director of the Innovation and Startup Incubation Center, which showed that Mentoring 2025 at NTTU is not a mere movement, but operates as a synchronized system with clear processes and outcomes.

In 2025, through a series of training, mentoring, and incubation activities, the program reached and supported over 4,000 students, receiving 593 startup ideas and projects, of which 70 promising projects were selected for in-depth mentoring following a structured roadmap. From this process, 5 spin-off businesses were formed, demonstrating the ability to transform ideas from classroom learning into market-ready business models.
A key foundation for the success of Mentoring 2025 is the NTTU Entrepreneurship Mentoring Network, currently comprising over 90 members, including 58 Mentors, 29 Coaches, 24 Angel Investors, 42 Industry Advisors, and 46 Trainers. This core force helps students not only to be inspired but also guided by practical experience, market thinking, and investment perspectives.
The value of Mentoring 2025 is clearly demonstrated through its proven results. The Bio Wraps project has received international funding of up to $25,000 from GGV Univentures and is currently in M&A negotiations, showcasing the feasibility and competitiveness of a mentoring model aligned with market needs.

In addition, the Green Choice Project won First Prize in the STARTUP FLIGHT 2025 competition, co-organized by Amity Innovation Incubator, the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in India, the National Startup Support Center of Vietnam (NSSC), UNUP, and Vietjet. Other projects by students of Nguyen Tat Thanh University also won 57 awards at 19 prestigious domestic and international startup competitions such as WISE Ho Chi Minh City, VietFuture Awards, Univenture, the National Waste Recycling Competition, the National Startup Program, etc. These results affirm that NTTU students are not only creative in their ideas but also have the capacity to participate in and assert their position in professional startup arenas.

Recognition and awards will ensure continued collaboration.
As part of the closing ceremony, the University organized an awards ceremony to honor outstanding groups, individuals, and projects in the Mentoring 2025 program, as a well-deserved recognition of the enduring partnership between NTTU faculty and students.
Specifically, the University awarded 15 collectives, including representatives from units inside and outside the university, for their significant contributions to innovative entrepreneurship activities, such as: the Southern Entrepreneurship Advisory and Support Council; the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural Center; the Interdisciplinary Institute of Science; the NIIE International Training Institute; the Faculty of Pharmacy; the Faculty of Law; the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Technology; the Faculty of Business Administration; the Faculty of Information Technology; the Youth Union and Student Association; the University Office; the Communications Department; the Equipment Management Department; the Student Affairs Department; and the Department of Corporate Relations and Student Employment.

In addition, 36 individuals, including lecturers and entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements in mentoring activities in 2025, were honored; 13 student startup projects that achieved high rankings in competitions during the year were also awarded prizes.
Individuals were awarded certificates of merit and commemorative medals.
In particular, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 titles of “Startup Warrior of 2025” and 2 titles of “Startup Champion of 2025” to the most outstanding individuals:
MSc. Tran Thanh – Lecturer at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Sciences, awarded the title of Outstanding Mentor in 2025 and Entrepreneurship Warrior in 2025.
Student Khuat Hong Truc Vy from the International Training Institute was awarded the title of Entrepreneurial Warrior of 2025.
Mr. Trinh Cong Qui – Founder of Bio Wraps Solutions Joint Stock Company, simultaneously awarded the titles of Startup Warrior and Startup Champion of 2025.
Student Tran Thi Thanh Thuy – Faculty of Law, member of the Bio Wraps project, won the title of Champion of the 2025 Entrepreneurship Competition.
The awards ceremony is not only a recognition of achievements, but also a strong commitment from the School to promoting the innovative entrepreneurship movement in a sustainable and profound way.
Kickoff Mentor Connect 2026 – Expanding connections, elevating the ecosystem.
In addition to the two aforementioned events, the program also included the official Kickoff Ceremony for the Mentor Connect 2026 program, with the participation of numerous reputable organizations and experts ready to accompany and support the startup ecosystem at NTTU. Notable figures included Mr. Hua Phu Doan, M.Sc. – President of the NTTU Business Club, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association, and Vice President of the Vietnam Waste Recycling Association; Mr. Nguyen Van Nga, M.Sc. – Member of the Executive Board of the Southern Startup Support Advisory Council; Dr. Nguyen Huu Thi – President of iSAM Holdings Management; Mr. Dang Cao Tuong – General Director of Vinathis Holding Joint Stock Company; Dr. Trieu Thanh Tuan – Director of the Ca Mau Startup and Innovation Center (CiNEC); Ms. Le Thi Be Ba, M.Sc. – Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Startup Innovation Center (SiHUB); and representatives from the university.

Mentor Connect 2026 Kickoff Ceremony
Immediately following the Kickoff ceremony, Nguyen Tat Thanh University signed cooperation agreements with Vinathis Holdings – a financial and management consulting firm and provider of technology solutions for businesses – and the Ca Mau Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CiNEC) – an organization under the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Science and Technology. These cooperation agreements focus on collaborative training, mentoring, project incubation, and spreading the entrepreneurial spirit, thereby demonstrating the clear and solid development direction of Mentor Connect 2026.

The Mentoring 2025 Closing Ceremony and Mentor Connect 2026 Kickoff not only concludes a vibrant year of activities but also opens a new phase of development for the innovation ecosystem of Nguyen Tat Thanh University – where the university plays a role in creating, connecting, and leading, contributing to the training of a generation of students who dare to think, dare to act, and are ready to create value for the community and society.
