Standing at the threshold of university, I wondered: “Is studying Marketing really as interesting as I thought?” and “Have I chosen the right place to turn my passion into reality?”. A year at NTTU gave me the answer.
Hi everyone, I’m Nhi. A year ago, like many of you, I went through a stressful exam period and faced a crucial life choice. Marketing is my passion, but I was very hesitant, unsure which university to choose so I could truly learn and not just “play around” in the virtual world. Now, having just finished my first year at Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU), I can confidently say that this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Practical lessons, not just theory.
For me, my first year wasn’t about dry theoretical lectures, but rather a fascinating journey of discovery. I was introduced to foundational subjects that not only helped me understand “what marketing is” but also ignited a genuine passion. The lecturers here were not just knowledge transmitters but also inspirers. I’ll never forget my professor’s words in the first class: “Marketing isn’t just advertising; it’s the art of understanding the customer.” That quote stayed with me throughout the year and became my guiding principle whenever I did assignments or researched a campaign.

Opportunities for early exposure and practical experience.
What impressed me most was how NTTU helps students connect theory with practice right from the start. We didn’t just sit and listen to lectures; we also participated in workshops and internships at businesses, heard senior students share their experiences, and even got to “fight” real battles through small projects in our courses. In my first year, I had the opportunity to work on a market research project for a new product, from brainstorming ideas and interviewing clients to presenting the final plan. It was a great opportunity to help me overcome my initial apprehension when entering my second year with more in-depth courses.

Dynamic environment, opportunities for holistic development.
Studying at NTTU, you’ll never feel lonely. The university has many clubs, ranging from academic to cultural and artistic. In particular, the Faculty of Business Administration alone has five clubs. I joined the Be A Leader club, chaired by Professor Nguyen Thanh Phi Van – Head of the E-commerce Department, to learn lessons on “How to become a great leader” and expand my network. Moreover, the friends here are not only fellow students but also amazing teammates, overcoming group assignments together, sharing memorable moments, and sometimes staying up all night together to meet deadlines…
If you’re looking for a dynamic learning environment where you can learn by doing, and be yourself, I believe that the Marketing program at NTTU is the right place for you.
