The field trip started with a survey and exchange of logistics activities at the port at Cai Mep (CMIT), one of the largest international seaports in Vietnam. The delegation had a practical experience at the business and production facilities of LEC Group Joint Stock Company, visited Hoa Sen Ton Group Joint Stock Company. The students are all very excited when they have the opportunity to practically approach the logistics industry, seaport operation, production, warehousing and international logistics services. At the same time, the students were visited and guided on how to operate the port, about container operation, about safety procedures, and by engineers and experts operating in the service chain. In particular, the students also witnessed the scene of the MSC VENICE – one of the largest fleets in the world, docking at the port and preparing to load and unload. . For many members, this is the first time seeing a super-sized, super-heavy ship docked at an international seaport in Vietnam, which, according to CMIT port operators, is the “pilot, captain” of the ship. and Vietnamese crewmen towed and landed safely. An additional experience for the knowledge of seaport logistics that students previously only knew through scientific documents, textbooks and other media.
