An Emotional Journey from “Nostalgia for Youth” to the “Aspiration to Conquer” of Marketers at Nguyen Tat Thanh University

October not only marks the beginning of a new academic year but also signifies a meaningful generational transition at Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU). While the Class of 2025 of Marketing freshmen embark on their university journey with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity, Class of 2022 has officially concluded their undergraduate chapter through the Graduation Thesis Defense — a milestone defined by both pressure and pride.

Class of 2022:The Moment of “Takeoff” After Four Years of Cultivation and Growth

During the thesis defense period for Class of 2022 Marketing students, the atmosphere at the Faculty of Business Administration took on a distinctive tone. This was the moment when hundreds of prospective graduates stood before an academic panel to defend research projects that reflected months of rigorous inquiry and practical application.

The defense sessions not only served as a formal academic assessment but also marked a pivotal rite of passage, affirming students’ intellectual maturity, professional readiness, and their preparedness to enter an increasingly competitive and dynamic marketplace.

Excitement and Pride Intertwined

On the podium, Class of 2022 couldn’t hide their nervousness as they presented their innovative marketing projects, ranging from complex digital communication strategies to in-depth consumer behavior research. However, the moment they received congratulations and the nod of approval from the Faculty Council brought an outpouring of joy, transforming their tension into boundless pride. After four years of diligent study, countless practical projects, internships, and relentless deadline-driven campaigns, they had officially completed their mission as NTTU students.

Transitional Emotions: From Regret to Longing

After their theses were approved, the emotions of the Class of 2022 students began to shift to a new phase: nostalgia for their youth and a yearning to embark on a new path. Nostalgia: Memories of their beloved school, their familiar canteen, and their study sessions together – these moments are now about to become their most cherished memories. Anxiety of transition: This is the moment they must bid farewell to the confines of the lecture hall and officially enter the highly competitive world of Marketing. The feeling of anticipation for a new career journey is intertwined with a readiness to conquer challenges. The Bachelor of Marketing degree from NTTU is not just an academic certification, but also a passport for them to confidently assert themselves in the creative and ever-changing industry.

While the Class of 2022 is looking back and preparing for takeoff, Class of 2022 is eagerly taking its first steps on the ground of knowledge. From the very beginning, the new students have been warmly welcomed by the Faculty of Business Administration, inspiring them with a spirit of Creativity, Dynamism, and Integration.

What’s particularly noteworthy is that the Class of 2025 Marketing program has been equipped with very modern tools. Through the International Scientific Conference “Language Research and Teaching with AI” and the intensive program “New Student Preparation 2025 – Skills in Applying AI Effectively in Learning and Working,” students have become familiar with the application of Artificial Intelligence in market research, data analysis, and content creation. This shows that NTTU is focusing on training a generation of marketers who are tech-savvy and ready to master the game in the digital age.

The Spirit of 5 Good Things and a Colorful Beginning

Beyond academics, the Class of 2025 quickly immersed themselves in extracurricular activities. Participating in the “5 Good Students” Day helped them better understand the core values ​​and community spirit at NTTU. The connections with friends and teachers, along with the spirit of learning and exploration, created a colorful and exciting start for the new cohort.

This handover event is not only a milestone for two generations of students, but also affirms NTTU’s position as a quality training program and its flexibility in embracing technological trends in the Marketing department. We wish the Class of 2022 continued success in their careers; and we wish Class of 2022 a university journey full of creativity, experiences, and breakthroughs.
