Tiếng ViệtNTTU – Times Higher Education (THE) has announced the 2026 World University Rankings, covering over 2,000 universities globally. Nguyen Tat Thanh University is included in this ranking for the first time.
For the 2026 cycle, THE World University Rankings (THE WUR) will rank 2,191 universities in 115 countries and territories, an increase of 99 universities compared to 2025.
With the inclusion of two higher education institutions, including Nguyen Tat Thanh University, for the first time, the total number of Vietnamese universities on this ranking has increased to 11. Among them, the University excelled, ranking in the top 1001-1200 and within the top 50% of the world university rankings, while also ranking 5th in Vietnam.

THE WUR uses five indicators to evaluate and rank universities worldwide: Research Quality (30%); International Outlook (7.5%); Industry (4%); Research Environment (29%); and Teaching (29.5%). Specifically, Nguyen Tat Thanh University receives high rankings in several indicators, such as:

Sharing her thoughts on the achievement, Dr. Tran Ai Cam – Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University – said that being included in the prestigious World University Rankings for the first time is a significant milestone, affirming the continuous efforts in the journey of improving the quality of training, research, and international integration. This result stems from systematic investment in faculty, laboratory systems, research centers, along with promoting international publications and academic cooperation with universities and research institutes around the world. Nguyen Tat Thanh University is proud to be included in this ranking for the first time, but is also clearly aware of its responsibility to continue maintaining and improving indicators in research, teaching, and international cooperation, contributing to affirming the position of Vietnamese universities in the global education system.
The inclusion of Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the THE World University Rankings 2026 not only affirms its academic prestige but also opens up many new opportunities for international cooperation. This result helps the University enhance its ability to attract international lecturers, scientists, and students, while creating a foundation for developing globally standardized training programs. In the future, the University will continue to promote its internationalization strategy, invest in strong research groups, and expand its network of academic partners, businesses, and organizations both domestically and internationally. This is an important step to help Nguyen Tat Thanh University improve its competitiveness and make a positive contribution to the Vietnamese higher education ecosystem in the context of global integration and digital transformation.
